Cost Effective Clinical Solution

Incert® - S is for the treatment of peridural adhesions and can reduce the incidence of post-surgical scarring and adhesions and the incidence of post-operative activity-related pain.

Peridural scarring is a natural consequence of most spine surgery. Though difficult to prove in humans, a number of studies have suggested a link between post-operative peridural scarring and radicular pain. The presence of peridural adhesions may also compromise success of fusion procedures, and cause extraordinary surgical challenges in the event that secondary operations are required at the same site later in life. For this reason, surgeons have sought a consistent, effective method which complements current and emerging surgical techniques to prevent post-operative scarring.

Incert® - S is a clear anti-adhesion viscous barrier gel, based on a patented biomaterial, consisting of highly purified, chemically modified, high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid (HA).

Incert® - S provides the surgeon with a biocompatible, bioabsorbable anti-adhesion barrier gel to be used as an adjunct to surgery during laminectomy, laminotomy and discectomy procedures. Incert® - S coats the sensitive neural structures during a short period after surgical closure and provides protection from the formulation of peridural fibrosis and dural adhesions that may otherwise contribute to post-operative radicular pain and/or neurological dysfunction during the formation period.
